ID cards, are you scared?

So it's obviously a bit of fictitious black propaganda made up by someone with an axe to grind. pity really because I'm not keen on the ID cards bit wouldn't stooop to making up lies about it.

He'll be publishing "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" next!

Indeed.

Nobody cares as long as it’s not mandatory.

As soon as it is, it like all government databases become prime for attack.

Nonsense, as soon as it exists amd holds your personal data its a prime target for attack. It doesn't need to be mandatory.

If everyone has to have one it become the only digital ID worth integrating to. Increasing its value as a target.

You'd need a smart phone in order to use a digital ID on a daily basis and since everyone doesn't own an s. phone then i don't see how it can be made mandatory.

Burnham has shelved it so conversation over.
It's because of conversations like this all over the country in groups and forums and on government social media when they post about how wonderful it will be "for your convenience" that the country has made It quite clear WE DON'T WANT IT.

Hopefully he’ll scrap some of their other daft ideas like automatic marriage rights for those who haven’t got married. It’s nothing more than gravy for lawyers.

They planned for that. But it's academic for now.

Labour tried it last time and failed. A decade and a half later they’ve tried and failed. With any luck come the next GE they will be out for another decade and half.

Until recently, it wouldn't even have been a concept, much less possible.

It will be mandatory at some point. When though, is the question.
They can’t make you have a mobile phone etc, it will never be mandatory.

I’m not fused either way. I just don’t see it
