ID cards, are you scared?

They can’t make you have a mobile phone etc, it will never be mandatory.

I’m not fused either way. I just don’t see it

Never heard of biometrics, facial recognition, or some such?
Implanted chips?
And stuff we can't yet even imagine?

Everything about you, and everything you rely on will - if it isn't already - be digitised.

And accessed via a retina scan, fingerprint, heartbeat signature, whatever.

You and I might be dead by then, but I'd bet our kids' generation won't be.

Saying that, when we entered Spain a few weeks ago they took our retina and finger prints.

It definitely will be on one bigger server soon enough. You might be right

Do you want some of my tin foil. I've got loads.

Its just face and fingerprint not retina.
Actually the system is already broke. Back when it first started I was arriving for a holiday and they were pulling 15 people out at a time to do the machines and they were just testing them and I only got to do my passport and that was it.
Next time I travelled they were shoving everyone to the machines and I thought I would be finishing off with my face and fingerprint but no I scanned the passport and it said I am already registered so off you go.
Been away twice since and same thing. So I have not registered my face or fingerprint.

We go away a lot and I can only remember it being done in the USA.

But it’s the way it’s going to be honest I like a holiday. The only time I’ve stopped them was when we couldn’t fly because I’d not had the jab.

1984 anyone….

If people seriously believe that a digital ID will somehow reveal more to the govenment or more 'sinister' agencies, than they know already, in this goldfish bowl digital world we live in, they are deluded.

Card or no card - no fuggs given.
