I have the new Halo “smart” thermostat which has replaced the one you have. Was supplied when I had new boiler as Ideal are increasing the warranty on boiler if you have the Halo system. I have to say this is the worst system I’ve ever encountered. The heating comes on in an entirely random manner. When the system is switched off it can often continue with the heating running for a coupe of hours. It often disconnects its self from WiFi for no reason and you get notification to say it’s offline. When I manage to get through to Ideal I’ll be getting a refund as the unit is clearly not fit for purpose. I had a Nest at previous property and there were never any issues with it.
