Hi Guys

My son has an ideal classic FF230 which keeps tripping on thermal cut out/overheat thermostat. he is on a British Gas service contract and he has clled them out twice and all they do is reset the cut out trip. Any ideas to possible causes to this problem as it is happening every three or four days now

Regards Terry

Further to namsag's excellent advice, problem could be boiler overheating due to circulation fault.

Pump fault; too slow, no water in F&E tank, air or sludge in system.
