Today the circuit to the kitchen went off and it seems that since then the boiler hasn't been working.

The front panel is showing a light for the burner and the status just has a dash in the middle, no codes to speak of just a line.

I have taken out the condensate s trap and it was clean, almost empty really, I refilled it with new water and refitted it.

Can I assume that from my description the pcb has gone??

Why did the power go off?

Have you tried depowering the boiler for 10 min?

The power went off when the iron overheated!!!

I will try power off for 10 minutes!!

Do you have faulty electrical circuits as a faulty appliance like an iron should blow the plug top 13A fuse in most cases.

May be worth checking that the supply and neutral and earth are all correct at the boiler supply point if doing what I suggested does not work.

Powered off for 40 minutes but still no go!

We had hot water and heating all day until the circuit went off so assume all power connections are ok.

It just isn't working, no noises, no trying to work, gas is ok (the hob works) just a blank with no fault codes??

Never assume anything.

It needs checking at the mains inlet connections to the boiler with a voltmeter.

Should there be some resistance to the valve when switching manually in the airing cupboard?

I just tried moving the arm on the valve and other was no resistance, it moved easily from side to side, would this stop the boiler without showing any codes??

Sorted, New PCB fitted and all's working!!!

Thanks for the advice given.
