Ideal Icos HE18 boiler Code P information required

Hi folks,

Can anyone advise what the code 'P' means on the Icos HE18 boiler.

I have read the manual but cannot find any details.

System has not been used for a few days.

As far as I am aware there is no code P on these boilers.

You either get 0 or C when no faults.

L or H and a number/letter, and a - are the fault codes

Couldn't find a P code in the manual either.

Strangely just looked at display again and its now showing a 0 which I'd expect.

Sounds like a dodgy display panel from here, with the bottom of the 0 not lighting

P on an Icos display means frost protection.

I would assume that the Icos has an orange cicuit board as 'P' doesnt appear on Icos boilers with older black pcb's.

The heating system hasn't run for a few days and it is cold in the kitchen where the boiler is at.

Can I ask what it means by 'Frost Protection' ?

Any special precautions I should do ?

Heating is normally running but we are doing some work at the moment so it's off but will be back on in the next few days.
