We have a Ideal logic thermostat & boiler, we have never had a problem with pairing them up when it’s time for a battery change. This time however it refuses to to connect to the boiler. We have tried everything and now I’m cold and at a loss on what to do. All the relevant lights are lit up in green and sending signals to the thermostat. The thermostat itself tries to pair… then connect, but goes back to pairing and goes no further.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Have you tried leaving the batteries out for 10 minutes or so, for any remaining charge within the thermostat to dissipate?

Yes. Also I have read that the thermostat is meant to come with a gateway but we don’t have one. So now I’m even more confused on how the engineer connected it in the first place.

Is your thermostat one of these?

...or a 'Touch connect'?

The latter was available with a separate gateway, to allow remote access via an app, but the gateway wasn't required for correct operation.

I think it’s a touch.

You've probably followed the rather specific installation instructions, but it might be worth trying again!

...but some research suggests the touch connect was discontinued quite early in its life cycle, for technical issues!
I'm sure others may have some ideas, but if not, it may be worth looking for an alternative thermostat...
