hi,
i have an ideal mini c which has developed a fault. i have hot water when the heating is switched off on the boilers own programmer but if the heating is switched on and i turn on the hot tap the boiler shuts down. i have looked at the flow switch and that engages and a red light comes on but the boiler does not fire.
The cental heating has no problems and the hot water doesn't either when the heating is switched off on the programmer. is it possible to bypass this programmer and just fit a programmable roomstat instead. if anyone an help it would be great thanks. Barry.

COuld be a Hot Water Temp sensor.
Not coming on if it thinks it's hot enough.

Yes you can do away with the horrible little internal timer. It should be fairly clear from the manual which should be on the Ideal site?
