Ideal mini c28 boiler not sparking

Hi, my boiler was making a funny noise last night so i turned it off, this morning it would not spark. It was making the usual whirring noise that it normally does before the spark kicks in!
How do I make it spark please - (simple language please!!)

if you cant do that you may as well call someone in

Look in the fault finding section , it refers to some diagnostic lights you have to flick a switch to get working.
Put your hand on the pump, if its running you'll feel a slight tremble.
