I HATE THESE BOILERS

having to service a daffy of these recently and wanted to scream about them

Thanks that was very Therapeutic

I quite like them, nice quick service where the customer can actually see you doing something useful.

Need something like a sweep's brush on an electric drill....
Is there anything you can do to clean the C trap apart from break the solvent welded joint underneath?!
Latest intermittent lighter is a sticky gas valve I think. £££!

Is this after the the ignition units which decdide they will only spark intermittently after 3years of operation?

Changed plenty of them in responses, but yes it looked the same...
This one fails to light first time you try then it's ok, as far as I've seen, makes me think GV. Course it won't do it reliably when you're watching.
Pcb 41 would try 3 times and probably sort it - for a while.... until the CC leaks and it gets a bath ...

What!!!!!!!

its taking me at least two hours per boiler, and my arm is bruised to hell what with stuffing up into the burner hole to clean the heat exchanger

how come you can do them so kwik????????????????????????????

Its funny that a bog brush can come in handy for this poorly designed boiler.

tried em but they dont clear it properly, I find the only way is with a blunted junior hacksaw blade

still hate them

That is what cleans mine. A metal hacksaw blade can damage the aluminium.
