hi there.

have a problem, not getting any hot water or heating.

the boiler has power and when you run the hot tap or switch the heating on the tank gets hot but the burner light does not come nor does any hot water come trough the tap ?

pressure is fine.

is it possible that there is a blockage somewhere ?

Sounds like a job for a professional anyway. Recommend you chuck it in a skip tbh, not many of these left for very good reason.

it heats up then cuts out like it overheats as the hot water has no where to go ?

Ripped one of these turds out today as it happens Still I fitted it ten years ago. Been the bane of Ideal's life ever since.

That isn't the tank.,

That is the main heat exchanger and you should be poking around in there - ESPECIALLY with the power on.

You need a professional.

Heating pressure is too high as well.

so if its the heat exchange that is bad roughly whats the cost and is it worth repairing ?
