Identifying concrete blocks (CMU)

Hello, this is a house in UK, built in the early '70s.
Some parts of the outer walls are made of concrete blocks.
I suppose they are one of the common types: e.g., aggregate, lightweight or aircrete, but I'm not sure which one.
I would like to know in order to buy the appropriate anchors/fixings.
Any suggestion/input welcome.
Their size is approximately 44.5x22cm, they have no identifying signs or marks visible.

You usually get three types of block. Solid concrete, medium density (commonly called Ricalites) and Thermalites (like pumice stone) that come under brands such as Celcons, Toplites, Aircrete etc..

Use wall plugs, do not use hammer function and drill the hole 1mm smaller diameter.

They look like your standard 3.5n Fibolites to me.

Any wall plug is appropriate.

However the consideration would be whats appropriate for the load of whatever you are fixing.
