Identifying flow and return

For the filter to be most effective, as suggested, you need to have it after the primary return from the HW cylinder where it meets the main return and then before the boiler.

That may require the return to the boiler, in the cupboard possibly, to be rerouted to allow space for the filter to be fitted.
If I already have a spiro at boilor ( can hardly service its that tight) . This magna is mainly to dose and fit Magnaclense is it OK on flow ?

Or would it just be batter dosing chemical from radiator and connecting magnaclense to radiator. ( although not as easy as to filter )

You can already dose chemicals, at a radiator. Adding a Magnaclense to a radiator, unless it's an old single pipe system (very unlikely), would have very limited value. A way needs to be found, to install it in the primary return pipe.

The whole point of a MAG filter is to stop debris from the CH system from entering the boiler - and start to clog up the narrow waterways within the HEX.
If it's after the boiler then it's kind of defeating the purpose. It will catch some debris that will be in solution but any larger particles may get caught in the HEX first. The Spiro, is it a spirovent/spriocombi/MBC1or an MB3?

In reality it makes absolutely no difference whether you fit it in the flow or return the water passes through the boiler and filter tens of thousands of times a day millions of times a year

Found return by boilor with a spiro installed not very good for access..

Looking at shopping this spiro for any pro 2.

Can take top piece of cabinet out to more easily install magna. Then put new top piece in as the piece is water damaged anyway of previous leaking drain off.

This way if the partial block I have is on return which I suspect it is the magnaclense should catch it before going in boilor.

What make and model is this boiler of yours? It appears to be room sealed, and you should not be interfering with the outer case.
