 Hi just a quick one how much if you are not registered on a cps do you have to pay for a building app for domestic installs.i live in cornwall and it currently68 pounds but i heard that some people can pay up to 150 this is all based on job value below £1000

Can easily be more - my local authority charges £202 + vat for work up to £2000 and it goes up from there.

(and they won't inspect or test - they want a EIC/MWC signed by a qualified electrician)

from the limited research I've done into this, our LABC charge £40 +vat if you're a non-registered sparky and will be doing your own I&T and submitting the results.

(and they won't inspect or test - they want a EIC/MWC signed by a qualified electrician)

then send them a nicely worded letter stating that since the cost of I&T will be passed on to them since they cannot insist that the homeowner pay extra for, or is forced to employ their own sparky for I&T..
there's a wiki somewhere with an official letter stating as much.

Where in london are you? Greenwich wanted about £180 + vat I seem to remember.

Are you obliged to use your council's BC dept, or can you use another one, if they are happy to do it?

Yes I know all about that, they don't care.
