If you open tap past half way it starts making a loud noise?

I’d much prefer if my tap didn’t make this noise.
Any ideas?

I would understand if there was a gushing flow of water.
But the pressure for that tap is pretty low. So it doesn’t really make any sense?

It’s the jumper - the bit that holds the washer - which is vibrating. Change the washer and see if the noise stops.
A little silicon lube in there helps too!

In a quarter turn tap? Seems more like an isolation valve not fully open, or trapped air.

@DannyDyer - that shower type connection isn’t permitted unless supplies are balanced and you can maintain an air gap above the spillover level.
