I have a perplexing issue with a combi boiler.
It works fine if it hasnt been comissioned (ie is 'cold').

it also works fine when 'warm', ie has been comissioned for less than 2 minutes hot water draw.

but if an extended draw of hot water has just finished, then for 10-15 afterwards it will not spark up.

the 2ndary loop is about 6m of 22m pipe, as the rads have been removed from the house.

could it be an issue with the expansion incorrect air pressure to cope with the reduced circuit?

Commissioning a boiler is the process of setting it up for safe use after installation.

It would help if you let us know what boiler you have. Some makes do indeed wait a short while before switching back to central heating mode after being in hot water mode. If you stop running the hot tap so it goes into this waiting period does it fire up immediately again if you open the hot tap again. If so I would say it's probably fine but as I said this can only be confirmed if you help us by letting us know what boiler you have.

You don't mean secondary loop - they have nothing to do with rads.

ok it was late when i posted, had a few aswell

Its worcester bosch 240, non condensing.
10 - 15 minutes after extended comissioning it will spark, not before.
yep my mistake, I meant primary.

the primary loop will cool right down after drawing from the hot tap within minutes as the pump runs the primary through the hx,
but the system still wont spark for a long time after the primary has cooled to 2nday input temp.

diverter? thermistor? logic board? any smart guesses?

The boiler is taking a long time to fire for heating demand after a long hot water call.

This could be several things depending on what temperatures various parts of the system are at.
