baxi bahama not igniting

mates baxi boiler wont ignite, when u turn it on fan etc come on put no sparks , any ideas on what to check, can check with multi meter if necassary,
was working fine then 1 day wouldnt ignite no hot water or heating checked basics ie gas supply, electric etc

be tempted just to try new ignition lead....or is there no sound from the spark generator?

no sounds at all apart from fan running
