Hi Folks - and a Very Merry Xmas to you all... I've had an Ikea monobloc tap on an Ikea twin bowl stainless sink for ages, but the other day it occurred to me that the thin metal stock means that the tap isn't very firmly anchored. Don't get me wrong - it's fixed perfectly well, it's just that you can rock it to and fro' a fair bit 'cos the metal's so thin - is there a well-known trade tip to sort this?

I've reinforced things like this with a strip of ply on the underside......as thick and as big that will tidily fit, really! Drill a hole in the reinforcement that's about the same size as the one in the sink, so the tails and horseshoe bolt can pass through.
John :)
