I have also just moved into a house with an ikea kitchen surface. I have been away working and come back to find the corner of this inch and half wooden top has started to curl! In addition there has been movement around the sink. it has come away from the sealant on the front side by 2mm and on the side of the sink you can see a bow in the work surface of about 4mm? Is there anything I can do top stop the wood from curling anymore? There is a fridge under the work surface with poor venting which I think may contribute to the drying of the work surface? I am going to make better venting. Is there anything I can do to get it back to normal?

It's fooooked, it probably was not sealed below or fixed securely resulting in your problem.
