I'm mending a drawer; Front is wood but side is plastic.

This is the plastic side where the screw in the bracket is busting though. If I screw any more it will go through the plastic. My question is could
do any more with this situation? Should I screw right through the plastic?

Solution is to shorten the screw by some means. I would just grip it with pliers and grind the end off. The wood looks like ply wood.

I've screwed it through, i'll try it out tomorrow (it's not my drawer it's from a relative's desk). I'm hoping that the jutting -out screw-end won't catch.
