Impact of Brexit on economy 'worse than Covid'...

Both Brexit and Covid have been disastrous for our country.
The difference is, we brought one disaster upon ourselves.
But likely both will blow over eventually and everything will be OK again.

Did he say that before the Covid pandemic?

He is right though its estimated that it will take at least 50 years to pay for the Covid pandemic expenditure at the moment
In which case we now have Brexit and the Covid pandemic to recover from.
Is it safe to assume it will take longer than a century to recover from both effects?

In 50 years all the Brexers will be long dead, so with luck the country will have made a fresh start.

We were going to suffer for a long time because of Brexit, no one imagined that Covid would hit the World as well , add those two to the Global warming proposals and the World Economy is very likely to suffer for a long time to come .

50 years' time?

High chance:
Covid will pale into insignificance compared with what followed it.
The EU won't be a U any more
England will be free of NI and Scotland, but all three will be ****ed.
There will be £30 to the $1.
Inflation will have swallowed the cost of covid and brexit
The Gulf Stream will have flipped so we'll be bloody freezing.

Certainty:
William Rees-Mogg will be 102 or dead.
And
one or more of the following will be MPs:
Alfred Wulfric Leyson Pius Rees-Mogg
Anslem Charles Fitzwilliam Rees-Mogg
Mary Anne Charlotte Emma Rees-Mogg
Thomas Wentworth Somerset Dunstan Rees-Mogg
Sixtus Dominic Boniface Christopher Rees-Mogg

so won't that be lovely?

The government's response to covid, not the disease itself, is the cause of all the job losses, business closures and goods shortages.

how do you think it could have been better?

Jobs for British people, less dependence on foreign workers and foreign imports, no interference in our laws and government.

Britain is an island of coal in a sea of oil yet has millions paid not to work. Why can we not use our own people and our own resources?

In 50 years the majority of remoaners will be dead or in a duffer state sucking there dinner through a straw

so with luck the country can make a fresh start
