I have a 3/8 inch (OD) polypropylene flexible water pipe that had to be cut in order to reroute it. The plumber rejoined it with a metric compression fitting which of course didn’t work. Caused a leak and damaged our bedroom ceiling.

I've been looking for an imperial compression fitting without any success. Can anybody suggest someone who may stock one?

Push fit but not sure if you'll get inserts or not and if it's mains water you really want inserts

S/S and not really a commmon fitting .... so isn't cheap.

Are you sure that’s what you need? Could the pipe be polyorc? Can you post a photo of said pipe?

I’m not sure. It was fitted in the late 80s. I can also say it is mains pressure. Here is a photo.

It’s also quite brittle. It may be when the plumber tightened his fitting it cracked the pipe causing the leak.

It‘s not polyorc anyway. Some pipe sizes are written on the pipe itself, could be metric x male iron threaded coupling you need. If it’s cracked, the you could extend where it connects in copper and then join?
