So I have just had a megaflow installed in upstairs cupboard and a new boiler is going in. I have a 5 core wire going from the boiler to the megaflow cupboard and twin and earth from the megaflow cupboard to a wired room stat.
I bought a wired Honeywell programmer to control the heating and water and a digi room stat but my plumber said the water is usually left on 24hrs so having a separate control for that is not needed. He suggested a wireless system but as there is t&e available for a wired stat I thought this would be the best route but I haven't a clue which is the best method. I have the wired kit but am now worried that 5 core isn't enough for the programmer. Does a wireless receiver need less wires and is it usually installed next to the boiler or megaflow?
