Hi guys - my first ever post!
Average DIY-er. Need to replace a 22mm leaking isolation valve in cylinder cupboard (Megaflow). Very difficult to access - see photo. Don't think I can do it with my basin wrenches (got both types) as not enough leverage available. Any suggestions please?

Tried to upload photo but couldn't figure out how - tells me I don't have an album but I do and the photo is in it! Aaaasgh! Will try again later.[/img]

Hopefully this has worked. In-line valve is on LHS next to tank and is not as far forward as it looks in the photo. It is at the centre point of the tank's circumference if you know what I mean.

If you are really stuck you could isolate the water supply and drain down...

cut out a section of pipe either side of the gate valve...

fit two short sections of pipe either side of a new valve (lever better if you can turn the handle)

then solder the new pipe/valve assembly in place.

Terrydoh - Aha! Many thanks. I think that might just do the trick. Every day's a school day, as they say :) I'll get off to the plumbers merchants tomorrow for a new tool....woo hoo!

Thanks to the others for their suggestions and comments.
