We are looking to do a remodel of a 1930’s bungalow and want to incorporate oak decorative elements (glazed panels, siding, barge boards and roofing elements as well as a traditional build extension). At the design stage are we best to work with an oak specialist or a regular architect? And then, at the build stage, how do we procure the oak elements and can a general contractor normally install them?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
