Increase heat of hot water/water pressure

B

BillEmm

Hello,

I have recently moved into a new place and the temperature of the shower and the water pressure are quite poor, I have taken pictures of the boiler (attached), I was wondering if anybody might know how I can sort this out myself?

When I turn the red knob in the first picture, the boiler makes a hissing noise. any help would be greatly appreciated, I cannot afford for a plumbing/heating engineer to come and have a look at it

Boiler is Kingspan Albion AUD180 UltraSteel

Thank you in advance

Stop touching that, it is safety device and shouldnt be touched, That is not a boiler it is an unvented Hot water Cylinder

Thanks, do you have any wisdom regarding how I can increase the pressure of my shower? It runs fine for a minute or two and then slows right down/cools right down

Unfortunately, as it's an unvented cylinder you have to pay someone to come in a look at it. It needs to be a qualified engineer that works on it.
2 items on the cylinder need checked to see if they are impacting on the pressure side of things. The temperature side of things is another area but that needs whatever warms the cylinder to be looked at - what needs looked at depends on whether it's a direct (electrically heated) or indirect (boiler heated)
