Sorry if I posted this in the wrong category, but couldn't find anywhere else for it to go!
We have an extractor fan in our bathroom, the type that comes on with the light and is fitted into the ceiling, the bathroom has no windows.
Over the past few weeks, the extractor fan has become increasingly noisy. It kind of sounds like it goes slow then speeds up for a few secs then slow again, and is very rattly with the occasional squeak. Kind of sounds like air gushing through it really fast at some points too.
Normally the fan makes some noise, but nothing to really be annoying. But now it's doing our heads in.
My partner thinks maybe the fan could be coming off its bearings, but isn't sure!
We are in rented property, and have contacted landlord who doesn't seem to be bothered about coming out to fix it, so was wondering if anyone had any idea of what could be the problem with it or knows anything about these types of fans and if we could fix it ourselves instead of waiting forever if at all for bloody landlord?
Thanks in advance
