Hi

I have a ceramic/halogen freestanding indesit cooker 4 years old. I spilt some boiling water on a hob and it appeared to short circuit the main fuse box. I have checked the circuit is fine for other appliances so I think there is a fault with the cooker. Each time I try to turn it on the front hob seems to spark/bang under the glass. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance - Jo.

Only thing you can do is remove the lid and check underneath the hob for burnt wires or switch pack burnt out. It may have shorted the element out you could disconnect the element and tape the wires up to see if it's that.
