The inner door glass is held in by a couple of metal plates and presses against a 'rubber' seal. Problem is the seal isn't held by the glass and droops down. I think some sort of glue along the seal would fix it but I can't think what to use, it gets a bit hot!

wouldnt think it should be glued in. did you take the glass out to clean it? if so take it apart and re-examine how it goes back together?
The seal is U shaped and fits over a metal edge. The glass sits on top of that and is held on with two metal plates attached with a screw each. New seals are available but are expensive for some reason.
