I've bought a summerhouse (blame the wife not me) and I've installed a few lights and sockets.
I suppose I have to stop the criticism by saying the feed is in SWA from a 16a RCBO in the house and the lights have a FCU with a 5a fuse.
I've also installed a fan heater that has a thermostat so obviously switches off when the summerhouse is nice and warm.
I've put in a switch with a small neon indicator to control the socket for the fire but as a summerhouse has lots of windows it is very easy not to see the small neon light.
I'd like to add a much more substantial light to warn me that the fire has power as I don't want to leave it on overnight etc.
A few years ago the obvious thing to install would have been a batten lamp holder and a 15watt lamp. Not very neat but very easy to see.
Is there a better suggestion? I need something obvious but preferably also neat.
