Help! I'm supposed to be having my worktop templated tomorrow and I've just seen the installation diagram for the hob suggesting 40mm gap underneath it - my worktop is only 30mm! Does anyone know if this is going to affect the pan drawers underneath? Kitchen is from Wickes. Not sure if the hob instructions are leaving ample/generous space with 40mm and I'll get away with it or if it literally won't work / fit!

The gap is needed for ventilation as most induction hobs have cooling fans in the base. It won't affect the drawers or how it is fitted.

It may be an issue if an appliance with a solid top such as a dishwasher was placed directly under the hob.
