Help! Induction hob over pan drawers

Help! I'm supposed to be having my worktop templated tomorrow and I've just seen the installation diagram for the hob suggesting 40mm gap underneath it - my worktop is only 30mm! Does anyone know if this is going to affect the pan drawers underneath? Kitchen is from wickes. Not sure if the hob instructions are leaving ample/generous space with 40mm and I'll get away with it or if it literally won't work / fit!

would have thought so the carcass of a draw is usually below the top of the draw front particularly on a pan draw.
