Can anyone advise me of any requirements for doing domestic install work, outside of my normal industrial work. I am a 16th/17th edition sparkie, and get called for private work. Any advice appreciated i.e. Part P or testing etc.

The testing is just the same as you would do for commercial. If you are not a member of a competent person scheme for self certifying compliance with the building regs then you need to use the LABC route - you need to notify them and pay their fee before you start and let them oversee compliance with the building regs.
