Industrial/ Commercial OIL boilers

Who's using these boilers these days? Not many very large isolated properties using this type of boiler with the gas network being to large?
I was just asked for experience in a recent job interview and could not oblige.

Mostly rural location sites,but have seen schools,loads of MOD,NHS to name just some.

Some industrial premises that have a burnable waste product tend to have them but they are modifies burners,so places with waste oil,just done a fish an chip shop wholesalers who now burn all their out of date cooking oil.

loads of oil burners in major cities :wink: but as lcgs has already stated schools/swimming pools/leisure centres/supermarkets/amenity blocks even recycling centres have oil burners.
 
Only have one city centre oil boiler on our books and thats an old coal fired beeston conversion.

Lots of steam and district heating.
 
The Oil fired Boiler is not as rare as you imagine,!

British Gas used to have a property in Vauxhall Bridge road London, massive office block -guess what 3 - Allen Ygnis Oil fired Boilers!!

we service many oil fired boilers oil makes up about 60% of our companies workload, University College London has several oil fired installations in their city campus :wink:
