I'm looking at a problem with occasional smoke spillage from an inglenook fireplace. Without reconfiguring the fireplace a chimney fan is one solution, but thinking laterally is it possible to install a canopy fan as found in kitchen installations?
Obviously the fan with have to be able to withstand the higher flue temperatures and the wiring insulated with the right materials e.g. mineral insulated.
Has anyone experience of this prospect? Thanks.
