Hi all

I intend to purchase an inset stove and am slightly overwhelmed by the number of manufacturers.

I am considering a Wanders 66 insert stove or Stovax Riva. I was told that I would need to get fans (optional) installed to prevent chimney breast from cracking.

Ability to regulate heat is important as I don't want room to be uncomfortably hot (thought I do believe more is better than less with these things).

This is something I will use 3-4 times a week so I am prepared to spend money but I have come across some very expensive inset stoves (Bodart Gonay).

So my questions would be:

1) does anyone have a Wanders or Stovax and would it be a considered a mid-range stove, quality stove etc.;
2) any other models that are similar, slightly better;
3) is cracking of plaster on chimney breast a chronic problem; and
4) are fans noisy

Thanks in advance!
