Hi. I have an odd problem that's doing my head in and wondering if anyone can offer any pointers or has had the same experience.

Few years ago I installed an insinkerator 46- no problems at all, went straight in and worked perfectly. Last month the wife wanted a new tap fitted and in order to get to the tap fittings I had do remove the 46 - pretty easy just slid it off the flange then went to refit it after. But now it won't reach the flange to slide back on. I didn't adjust the top mounting or change anything else - it just suddenly won't reach - it's like the laws of physics have suddenly changed and I'm completely dumbfounded.

Any ideas ??

Thanks !!

Fitting is as below:

Which bit did you undo? You can remove the insinkerator by twisting (with the supplied alan key) on the lower metal ring (above the plastic body). If you have done it that way, make sure both lugs match up with the gaps, then twist anti clockwise to lock in place..
