Does building control need to be notified of an electric boiler swap? Please advise

Where is it being installed (room)?
Is the boiler the same like for like as the one that is being swapped?
Any upgrades in wiring or protective devices?

installed in a cupboard on a top floor flat pulsacoil 2000 swap for pulsacoil bp no upgrades in wiring required protective devices required for new boiler will b installed if they dont already exist for new

So replacing one useless and expensive pile of rubbish with another equally useless and expensive one?

If the original is broken and can't be repaired, this is the ideal time to fit some other form of heating.

Afaict from an electrical perspective replacing fixed equipment without adding any new fixed cabling is not notifiable.

I dunno if there are any requirements from other parts of building regs that would require notification.
