Is it OK to use 16mm x 8mm D-line trunking for a mains single (spur) 2.5mm square T & E cable, the cable is O.D 10.3mm x 6mm?
If so what surface mount double socket box would you suggest?
25mm x 16mm is a decent minimum , it is also easier to get straightish on many near normal walls and to cut an opening for trunking boxes too so it looks far better.
D-line mini trunking does not come in 25mm x 16mm & it has Pvc Mini Trunking Accessories for corners ETC. D-line recommend 30mm x 15mm for 2 x 2.5mm T & E, I only need to run one cable?
Sorry D Line, I was thinking about mini trunking MT 1 to 6 or YT 1 to 6 etc.
Well if you like dline and its not too tight a fit (allow a bit of airflow) it might be ok , but I think as always whether trunking, picture rail, wood strips etc that it`s always tidier to rubn a larger size than a smaller size unless your walls are dead true. Waviness sshows up like a sore thumb with the narrower ones.
