Good evening gentlemen,
I'm wanting to fit two bulkhead lights (max. 60 watts power per each) to two wooden beams, in the attic of a terraced home. The house was rewired a couple of years ago, supposedly, although what this involved, I'm not at all aware. I suppose, although I'm not entirely sure, that I will need to draw power ceiling lights of one of the rooms below.
Will there be a junction box up there, somewhere, and if so, will it be comparatively easy to draw power from this instead of an existing light installation?
I will have to pull up the existing insulation in order to find my power source. There is already flooring laid down in the centre of the attic, so I will be limiting my search to the area without flooring.
Assuming that I find whatever it is that I'm looking for, what components will I need in addition to the bulkhead fittings? I can only imagine that I will require cabling (and accompanying grips), but of what gauge, I cannot currently say.
Thank you for your time, gentlemen.
Your dear friend,
Toolbelt Dandy
