I have to install this type of WC and I am concerned as to how to accomplish this task. The existing (cracked) loo is cemented to the (solid) floor. I have heard that it is best to use mortar but I am concerned as to this having been responsible for the cracking and so would prefer to use screws and rawlpugs as well as silicone sealant.

Also as for securing the top to the bottom half could I use silicone sealant for this also? I have heard that there is something called Sani-seal which seems to be similar to Plumber’s Mait but can find no reference to this on the web.

Any advice would be much appreciated. ;)
