Hello all,
first posting on this website so be patient with me,
my wife has got me installing a new kitched and has bought an eye level electric oven and halogen hob, now i am not a complete numpty and i have done my fair share of DIY and houshold installaiton of lights and showers etc - but i just wanted to pick your brains with the following?
i have checked on the consumer unit and there is a fuse marked "spur" in nefarious scribbled writing! and i can't find which socket or appliance this is for - is there a secret magicians way of finding out?
behind my current gas cooker there is a single socket which has the extractor fan light plugged in to this - this is on the fuse in the consumer unit marked "kitchen ring"
and there is also a double socket next to it which has nothing plugged into it, i have checked and this is also on the "kitchen ring"
my question is this "if the single oven comes with a standard 13amp plug on it ready to plug into the kitchen ring is this ok?"
will the Hob be supplied with a plug? can i plug it into one of the sockets?
will it need to be hardwired to the consumer unit?
if it is any interest the cooker and hob are ignis by whirlpool and have been on offer at B an Q.
many thanks in advance for any help on this matter.
