Hi,

Can anyone tell me if I need to drain my central heating system before replacing an old radiator.

Also, since I am doing this the first time, has anyone got advice on wheher it is OK to use plastic push fit fittings or soldered / presoldered fittings on the supply and return pipes to the radiator.

Thanks

Cy

if u are using the same rad valves then just close them , take of the old rad and fit the new one.

if u have to redo the pipework then ur going to have to drain down.

any method works. presoldered (yorkshire) and solder r best. pushfit is ok but u break ur rad earthing. (and looks diff colour and bulky)
