Not sure there’s much need for sleeving cables on new work

Places that don't allow it seem to manage ok

Top of my head thought as usual so could be completely wrong

I do not know why some would think it is allowed but clearly not Eric though!
 
To my mind, you can use any colour you like, except for green, cream, and green/yellow, these are reserved for PEN, earth, and bonding cabled. All other colours can be over sleeved.

Except for vehicles, where green means fused ignition supply with the old Lucas wiring colours. The trace shows what it does.

Why green was selected when red/green colour blindness is the most common, not a clue. Brown would have seemed to look more like earth!
