Insulate and fireproof garage floor?

Hi guys,

My garage like most has a concrete floor. It's always freezing to touch and dusty etc. I would like to put some sort of covering on it to make it easier to to clean up and also more comfortable to lie on when working on cars.

I was going to put a layer of ply down which ticks most of the boxes but the fire hazard is a bit of a worry. I regularly weld and angle grind so there is some risk.


Any ideas much appreciated

Get yourself a fireproof rubber welding mat or cover the garage floor in it.
