Hi,new to this. Here goes.i have a cellar underneath my hallway and lounge. I don't want to touch the wooden flooring that's in place. Has anyone insulated the flooring from underneath, I.e. insulation between the floor joists from the cellar. ?

You can do this. If you are getting cold from the floor it will be draughtproofing you need more than insulation, but mineral wool quilt, stuffed tightly between the joists, will do both. You can staple garden netting to the joists to prevent it falling out.

Start round the edges of the room, because most of the cold draughts come up through the gap under the skirting, and holes for pipes and cables.

Clean out all airbrick ventilators first, and do not obstruct ventilation of the cellar.

Lag pipes and remove rubbish.

If you have access to under the floor via the cellar, then happy days! Nice and easy.
