Insulating a garage ceiling

As title we have a house with a side extension done around the 80's and doesn't seem insulated properly. My daughters bedroom is above the garage and in the winter is like an ice box even with the radiator full blast.
Is it possible to insulate the garage ceiling so it keeps her room above a bit warmer. What would you suggest ?

Thanks for that it was very helpful. Just one thing if I fit it to the ceiling as it states you can in the other thread how would I fix it up there ?
