Insulating fire door from house into garage

is is it possible (and will it help more importantly) to add insulation to the fire timber door from house into garage?

Do you mean add stuff around the edges of the frame i.e. to stop drafts and/or do you mean add stuff to the door surface? Either way, given it's a fire door, you'd need to be cautious you aren't indirectly decreasing its effectiveness as a fire door and/or contravening relevant building regs.
