Hello all

The garage was built many years ago as an old bakery and the bungalow was built on after.

I have bought some £3 a roll of insulation from b&q and put in the ceiling and boarded up.

Could i put it in the walls also if i put battons on the wall put the roll between and then board over?

Would this be okay?

As its so cheap and i have a budget for the garage (as the other half says) :)

You can use it in walls (bearing in mind its not as good as rigid insulation) but your method needs to make sure it cannot sag and leave voids over time.

ok cool thanks.

Whats normally used then? Silimar product but in a board foam?

I have used celotex before but very expensive!!

Yes celotex or similar is the norm but as you say £££s. If you can think of an effective manner with which to stop the roll from sagging then use it.
If you can't, a compromise would be polystyrene, not as good an insulator as celotex but better than roll and a price whilst more expensive than roll is cheaper than celotex.
