Hi- Putting in new insulated concrete floor.

Upstands to prevent thermal bridging usually hide under skirting, but can anyone tell me what to do if the new floor is the middle third of a room (like the filling in a sandwich) between two already concrete areas?

Can I screed over top of the upstands to say 25mm, to tile over?

Thanks.
